Enugu Blockchain Week 2026

Enugu Blockchain Week (EBW) 2026 is a five-day, community-led decentralized ecosystem festival taking place across Enugu, Nigeria, from October 13 to 17, 2026. Rather than a single centralized conference, EBW is structured as an umbrella movement under which local communities, protocols, and builders host their own hackathons, workshops, meetups, panels, and cultural nights. Anchor events include the Build Arena Hackathon, gathering elite developers to build African-focused use cases in finance, AI agents, and real-world assets, and the EBW Main Summit, the flagship day featuring keynotes, panel discussions, product showcases, and the hackathon demo day. The event is chain-agnostic, welcoming builders from EVM, Solana, ICP, Cosmos, and beyond.

The festival targets Web3 developers, founders, students, investors, and community builders across Africa and globally, with a strong emphasis on university engagement through partnerships with seven academic institutions in Southeast Nigeria, expecting to reach over 1,000 students. Attendees should come for the combination of hands-on building, cross-chain networking, and Afrofuturist culture, including highlife music, local cuisine, and Udi Hills hikes alongside the technical programming. Organized by Nextbridge Africa and building on prior editions like Web3Conf Enugu and the 7-Day Festival Edition, EBW 2026 positions itself as a flagship gathering for Africa's growing decentralized ecosystem, comparable in ambition to Berlin or Korea Blockchain Week but rooted in African context and community ownership.
