Overview
Pacifica (pacifica.fi) is a next-generation hybrid perpetual futures exchange built on the Solana blockchain, enabling non-custodial leveraged trading on 35+ crypto assets with up to 50x leverage. Its primary value lies in a hybrid architecture that delivers sub-20ms order execution via an off-chain Central Limit Order Book (CLOB) while settling all trades on-chain, giving traders institutional-grade speed without sacrificing self-custody.
Founded in January 2025 and co-led by Constance Wang (ex-FTX COO), Pacifica launched its mainnet in June 2025 and is self-funded with no venture capital backing. Built entirely in Rust from the ground up, the platform reached over $64 billion in cumulative perpetual volume and surpassed $40 million in TVL within months of launch. In September 2025, while still in closed beta, Pacifica briefly captured over 51% of Solana's perpetual DEX market share by 24-hour trading volume, surpassing Jupiter and Drift Protocol.
