Zcon7

Zcon7 is the latest edition of Zcon, the Zcash Foundation's annual conference focused on Zcash and privacy-preserving technologies. Held in person in Cancún, Mexico, from October 27 to 29, 2026, under the theme "¡Vamos!" (Spanish for "Let's go!"), the three-day program centers on momentum, coordination, and turning ambitious ideas into real-world impact. Sessions include panels, debates, workshops, and small-group breakout discussions. Topics include a debate on Zcash Shielded Assets (ZSAs), whether the Dev Fund should end in 2028, shipping faster while maintaining security, technical security threats, and onboarding the next generation of Zcash builders. The event also celebrates Zcash's 10th anniversary with a look ahead to the next decade.

The conference is designed for developers, cryptographers, researchers, policy thinkers, investors, builders, and community members who care about financial privacy. Speakers include Zcash co-founder Zooko, Josh Swihart of ZODL, digital rights activist Evan Greer of Fight for the Future, and Anoma co-founder Adrian Brink, alongside Zcash Foundation leadership. Attendees can help shape Zcash's roadmap, learn directly from core contributors, and network in a relaxed resort setting. Attendance is free but application-based due to limited capacity, and accepted guests must book the official all-inclusive resort through the organizer's group link. There is no livestream or virtual option, so in-person participation is the only way to take part.
