Overview
Momentum (MMT) is a full-stack DeFi operating system built on the Sui blockchain, offering a decentralized exchange (DEX), liquid staking via xSUI, institutional treasury management through MSafe, and a token launchpad under one unified platform. Its primary value is delivering deep, capital-efficient liquidity across crypto, cross-chain assets, and tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) for both retail and institutional users.
Originally launched as MSafe — a leading multi-signature wallet in the Move ecosystem — Momentum rebranded and expanded its scope after recognizing the need for a comprehensive liquidity infrastructure layer on Sui. The project raised over $14.5 million from tier-one backers including Coinbase Ventures, Circle Ventures, OKX Ventures, Jump Crypto, and The Spartan Group. Led by ChefWEN, a former Meta Libra engineer and MSafe founder, the platform went live on March 31, 2025, and quickly captured 78% of the Sui DEX market, generating over $177,500 in daily fees and accumulating more than $500 million in Total Value Locked (TVL) with over 2.1 million users.
