Arc is an open Layer-1 blockchain and application platform, operated by Arc Network Services LLC and published under Circle Internet Group. Its primary value is settling stablecoin-based transactions with dollar-denominated fees and sub-second finality, for payments, FX, lending, treasury operations, and tokenized assets.
Arc describes itself as an "economic OS for the internet" made up of several components. Arc Network is the settlement layer. Arc Portal is a consumer entry point for wallets, swaps, earn products, and app discovery. Arc Studio generates frontend, backend, and smart contract code from a written description. App Kits are SDKs covering onramping, earning, payments, crosschain transactions, and agentic workflows. The platform also provides an explorer, a testnet faucet for USDC and EURC, documentation, and a community hub. The site states that Arc is live. Its founding validator cohort includes BlackRock, Circle, Galaxy, Figment, Mastercard, NYSE, Standard Chartered, Sumitomo Corporation, Visa, and Global Payments.
